Our Journey

Founded in Beirut in 1982 during the Lebanese civil war, MDC is a dry-cleaning business built on resilience, excellence and craftsmanship. Established by Sami and Antoine Badr, MDC quickly gained a reputation for top-tier service and became one of Lebanon's most trusted names in professional garment care.

Certified Pro by the Drycleaning & Laundry Institute (DLI) in Maryland U.S. in 1987, MDC holds four international diplomas in spotting, fiber and fabric, dry cleaning, and customer service.

In 1992, Antoine Badr founded the Lebanese Dry Cleaner Syndicate and was elected for two consecutive terms (1992-1996 and 1996-2000) as President, helping raise national industry standards.

MDC has served over 6,360 loyal customers, published 13 annual technical bulletins, and distributed more than 100,000 bilingual technical bulletins.

In 2007, MDC earned the prestigious “International Meritorious Service Award” from DLI in Las Vegas USA, for its exceptional level of service, further cementing its global standing.

MDC continues to lead with quality, even through the toughest of times—from the personal loss of one of the founding partners, to the national economic turmoil, the banking crisis in Lebanon, and the global COVID pandemic.

Today, MDC remains committed to innovation, trust, and the highest of standards in certified professional dry cleaning.
